When Khun Teang started looking for a Mother's Day gift, she wanted something that actually meant something. Not another candle, not another bouquet that wilts in a week. So she came to De Bloo Studio to make a leather bag with her own two hands, from scratch, as a gift for her mom.

She picked gold leather, because that's her mother's favorite color, and paired it with a chain strap for a little extra shine. For the design, she chose a woven pattern inspired by one of her favorite luxury leather bag brands, but made it her own.

Once our team had the leather cut and prepped, the rest was all her. Stitching, assembling, pulling every thread tight, that part had to come from her. That's the whole point of making something by hand. It took about a day and a half from start to finish, and she walked out with a beautiful shoulder bag, finished right in time for Mother's Day.

How long does it take to make a custom leather bag? Most shoulder bags take around a day to a day and a half, depending on the design. We do have a design that can be finished in half-day, but that would be machine stitched.

Can I customize the color and design? Yes, if you choose to do One-day or Multiday Workshop, you can choose your own leather color, so your bag turns out exactly the way you imagined it.
